Study Art and French Language

Available on the Paris campus

Study Art and French Language programme is aimed at international students who want to take part in a FLE programme combined with introductory workshops in Culture, Art & Design. In just one year, the programme enables students to develop the pre-requisites needed to enter École de Condé, and to reach a B2 level of French.

The programme offers part of the FLE course online via Global Exam, enabling students to start distance learning courses as soon as their enrolment is confirmed and before they arrive in France.

The programme consists of courses in French as a Foreign Language (approximately 540 hours), artistic culture (60 hours) and introductory workshops in art, design, culture and cultural activities (approximately 100 hours).

At the end of this year’s training, students can join the programme for which they were accepted.

Work-Study programmes

“Alternance” in French, are very common in Master’s programmes and offer the opportunity to follow a theoretical programme while gaining practical experience in a professional environment.
This dual approach is highly advantageous, as it allows young people to acclimatise to the professional environment and may even lead to future employment opportunities.

Access to work-study programmes for foreign students depends on specific criteria (all programmes are taught in French.)

  • Work-Study programmes are open to international students who have completed one year of study in France.
  • Students who do not have the required level of  French are eligible for programmes via personal financing.

Requirements

Bachelor :

Prospective bachelors students must hold an high school diploma equivalent to French standards. To be admitted to Ecole de Condé, students must be eligible for higher education through a secondary school diploma / diplôme d’études secondaires with good results.

International students can be admitted with one of the following diplomas/certificates if you meet all the requirements:

  • Senior high school diploma, which generally gives access to a bachelor’s degree programme in the country of issue
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma
  • General Baccalaureate

If your diploma is not on this list, we recommend that you send it to us so that we can consider your application.

Master :

Students must have a Bachelor or equivalent that meets the pre-requisites for the desired Master.

Portfolio :

Whether at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
All applications to the Design programme must be accompanied by a portfolio.
Together with administrative documents, the portfolio is the most important part of your application. It should reflect your level of mastery, in line with your past experience and your application.

Admissions to both Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are based on an assessment interview, conducted in English or French, depending on the programme.

Recognised certifications

Each programme offered by École de Condé has an RNCP qualification, listed on the France Compétences platform. You can find the number of each diploma on the corresponding training sheets.

What is the purpose of the RNCP?

The purpose of the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles is to classify all State-recognised qualifications. These qualifications are also recognised by the State’s social partners, which include education and training establishments.
As well as listing the recognised qualifications, the RNCP also details the level of study corresponding to each one. There are currently eight different levels of RNCP certification.
Level 7 of the RNCP covers all qualifications at Master 2 or bac+5 level.
Only qualifications recognised by the State and its social partners are included in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles.
The State diploma certifies the State level of its holder, while the RNCP title certifies the acquisition of professional skills.
A level 7 RNCP qualification corresponds to a Master 2 or bac+5 degree.
Holders of a level 7 RNCP qualification are eligible for senior management positions.

What are the differences between a state diploma and an RNCP Qualification level 7?

The aim of a State diploma is to validate an academic level of study.
An RNCP qualification, whatever its level, is used to validate professional experience. In other words, the acquisition of the skills and aptitudes needed to practise a profession.
An RNCP qualification prepares you for specific jobs.
