CFX Artists work with supervisors and team leaders to create and carry out the director's vision. They simulate what is happening with the fur/hair (grooming) and with the fabrics/clothing (cloth) from the production. Preparatory work is often necessary leading up to the animation. This depends on the elements provided by the rigging (which relates to the skeleton), and also on the post-animation finishing stage of the characters, which defines how the soft parts (fur, hair and clothes) react, according to the character's movements. These techniques can also be used to simulate elements when they react to external forces (grass, foliage, etc.).
