Fashion Designers draw the designs that make up a collection. They choose the fabrics and materials to be used in the clothing composition and manage the colour ranges. They create a range plan that includes the entire range and technical drawings of the clothing items. After the drawing phase, Fashion Designers work on the development with a model maker. The ready-to-wear collections are mass-produced. The collections of small creators have a more artisanal way of being manufactured. In Haute Couture, the designs are unique. Like any designer, Fashion Designers must take into account technical and budgetary constraints.
