Gilder

Gilding restoration may be done on wood, metal, plaster or leather. The restoration implies a minimalist intervention that is respectful of the style. Thus, traditional materials are used: rabbit skin glue, whiting and fritware. The work takes place in several stages: cleaning, refitting and refilling missing primer, reparure, moulding and stamping missing ornaments, grafting if necessary, gilding missing parts of leaves, patina finish.
