In the press or in publishing, Artistic Directors define the editorial position, main design principles, typography, editorial grid, links between images and text, mock-ups and colour balance. They choose the illustrators and photographers and guide them in their work. Artistic Directors construct or influence the visual identity of the newspaper or publishing house for which they are responsible.
