The Master Innovative Materials and Sustainable Development focuses on designing and developing more sustainable materials, and strives to stick with our society’s issues. It also questions the processes of conception and manufacture in use, with the goal of turning it into circular economy and sustainable development.
It seeks to train a new generation of Designers, who will develop innovative materials while integrating the ecological constraints in their manufacturing and second-life processes. Bio-materials, biotechnology, bio-manufacture, all get inspiration from a world of living organisms, ultimately driving unheard of projects, durable and biodegradable objects. Application fields are huge: from object to architecture, passing by clothing, packaging, and graphic communication. The digital technologies partake in these questionings and updates. The conception and manufacture processes are being reviewed, whereas circular economy and usages’ sociology are put in the light.
This Master is available to students issued from all four fields of design, and is certified as Level I in the French National Committee of Professional Certification (RNCP).
