This State diploma course prepares students to become professionals in the fields of interior architecture, interior decoration, commercial premises design, architectural and urban space design, furniture design, landscaping, set design and the design of temporary venues.

Students may become interior designers, object/furniture designers, architects for commercial spaces, decorators, set designers, events managers or landscapers.

Educational content is subject to changes as a result of school organizational requirements, and, or, implementation of State guidelines.


Admission is based on a personal interview, in which students demonstrate their motivation, as well as on the presentation of a portfolio.
Foundation year or equivalent level corresponding to 60 ECTS credits is required.

Marseille and Toulouse do not prepare to the BTS Design d’espace but offer a Bachelor in Interior design.


More than 85% of our students continue their studies after the Bachelor program, most of them in the following Master programs :

  • The Master in architecture and scenography for the luxury industry


or in a DSAA, a national school of architecture (admission in 2nd or 3rd year) a landscape architecture school, a fine arts school, the Arts décoratifs or as Master’s degree abroad.
